A Privacy Policy is a disclosure information about how the site gathers any information from the visitors and about the ads served.

Creating A Privacy Policy Page For Your Blog

You can either create a privacy policy yourself if you have required knowledge. However, most of the bloggers do not know how to create a perfect privacy policy for their blogs. In that case, there are several third-party privacy policy generators which will do the work for you for free. In this tutorial, I am using one such service provided by SerpRank.com

  1. Go to the SerpRank privacy policy generator page.
  2. The page will ask for your Site URL and Email Address.
  3. If your blog use cookies (if you are serving advertising, your blog is most likely using it), select Yes, we use cookies option.
  4. In the advertiser information, select the advertising solutions you use to monetize your blog.

  1. After filling up the form, select Crete my Privacy policy. You have just created a privacy policy for your blog. Now Copy this information to a text document.

How To Add The Generated Privacy Policy To Your Blog?

  1. For Blogger Blog: Open your Blogger Dashboard > Pages. If you are using WordPress Blog then go to your Dashboard > Pages > Add New
  2. Create a new blank page and paste the copied privacy policy in the text body and title your page as “Privacy Policy
  3. Publish your page

You have successfully created and published privacy policy for your blog.

If you have no advertsing on your blog, how do you go about the Privacy Policy? What if you have no Adsense FOR NOW, but intends to use it in the future, how would that affect the wording of your Privacy Privacy?

Nice Tutorial here… However, you didn’t mantion how to put the Privacy Policy title in the appropraite layout, usually at the bottom page.

Such tutorial can also be used to create the “Terms and Conditions” and “copyright” pages. That’s how i did mine.
